We took a bike ride with our friend, Ann-Marie, and rode over to Songjeong 송정 beach for the Reggae Festival – a weekend long music festival with bands from several countries including Korea and Japan.
We took the scenic route along Haeundae 해운대 beach – since it’s August, the beach season is in full swing with umbrellas as far as the eye can see.
After this, we began our climb up Dalmaji 달맞이 hill
At the top there are cafes and an outdoor art and craft market on this day
After this, on the very fast and fun descent, there is a great lookout onto Songjeong 송정 beach
We arrived to the beach and took our tube in the water to play. Our friend, Amy, joined us as well.
The waves were kicking! Some were 6 feet (2 meters) tall which is high for Korea
Here’s a couple videos of Shannon and her tube
Next, we walked over to the stage to check out some reggae
Here’s a pic of the girls together with Songjeong beach in the background
The show went on well into the night and was a lot of fun
This Japanese band really got the crowd into their set with some good tunes.
