The Philippines is to scuba divers what the Himalayas are to mountain climbers. Incredible biodiversity and robust, healthy reefs make for a great dive. PG (Puerto Galera) is known for it’s macro sites – tiny creatures like the nudibranch take center stage.
The simplest way to describe a nudibranch to someone is a colorful sea slug. They are poisonous to other animals and their name means ‘naked lungs’ in Latin. In the pic above, the green and black fringes that rise up is where oxygen exchange takes place
