After our Milford Sound nature cruise, we took the Jucy Van across the breadth of New Zealand.
The winding road through mountains was really scenic.
The road flattened out a bit and then the sheep farms began to appear everywhere. New Zealand is a major producer of wool.
We stopped for coffee and snack and I also spotted a Gator fan (University of Florida).
Dunedin is a pretty university town (University of Otago). The colonial buildings around the city center are very photogenic.
We found a campa park just north of town and settled in for the night. If you look at a map, Dunedin is very far south and the weather gets pretty chilly. A couple times in the middle of the night, one of us had to wake up and turn on the van to get a little heat going as the temperature outside approached freezing.
