While on Bohol, Shannon and I setup some scuba diving with Sea Explorers, a company that has dive operations in several locations in the Philippines.
We boarded their very comfortable Bangka boat and cruised out to the dive site.
The coral reefs were fantastic and chock full of fish and creatures. In between dives, we chilled on the boat with snacks and coffee.
At night, we discovered if you walk two blocks off the beach, there are inexpensive restaurants that serve fantastic food off the grill.
The next day we hung around the gorgeous beach in front of our hotel.
We did some sunbathing and snorkeling on the reef just offshore.
We also made an excursion into the interior of the island to check out these super-cute animals called tarsiers. Bohol is also famous for their chocolate hills – we skipped out on this.
Tarsiers are very small primates and they can only be found in the Philippines and Malaysia.
Tonight is New Years Eve and Shannon and I signed up for a nice dinner on the sand to watch fireworks. We met some nice people to hang out with and enjoyed plenty of food and drink.
After nearly a month in the Philippines, it was time to say goodbye as we head to Korea for a couple days before going back to America.
