After meeting up in Delhi and exploring around for several days and visiting the amazing Taj Mahal in Agra, Shannon and I made our way to Jaipur, where I had stayed for one month of Hindi lessons before she arrived.
Riding an elephant to the top of Amber Fort was a highlight during my sightseeing trips in Jaipur, so I made sure to take Shannon there as well.
Several sights in Jaipur, such as the Royal Palace, Hawa Mahal and Jantar Mantar are located in the very chaotic city center called the pink city.
On another day, we went to a place called Galtaji Temple, which is about five miles outside of Jaipur. It has very scenic views and monkeys playing all around the very picturesque temple.
The Temple is carved into the hills and a natural spring feeds the holy bathing areas where pilgrims come to cleanse themselves.
