My Mom Visits – Part III

On a crisp April morning, we headed over to Busan tower. There is also a huge outdoor shopping area just outside the Nampo-dong 남포동 subway station. Taking an elevator up 70+ stories, the tower offers panoramic views of Busan’s port area – which is the 5th busiest port in the world

There is a small park around the tower – complete with an Admiral Yi Sun-shin statue – he had a major naval victory against the Japanese in the 1590’s

The park was a hive of activity including dozens of artists practicing their painting

The view from the top of the tower – it costs about 8,000 won ($8) to get a ticket to the top

After the tower, we decided to find a nice tea shop

Walking the crowded streets of Gukje 국제 market, we popped into a cat cafe for some coffee. There are beautiful cats all over the place to pet while you sip your coffee.
