El Nido Town

The best part about El Nido is the gorgeous Bacuit archipelago just offshore. Amazing tropical beaches and reefs are a big draw for the island hopping tours that can be booked anywhere. There are some other things to do in the actual town of El Nido too.

Cockfighting is huge in the Philippines. Any town worth its salt will have a cock pit for fighting roosters. Gambling is rampant and there’s even a channel on TV which seems to be dedicated to cockfighting 24/7. Fight footage is even shown in slow motion. Here is a wall of advertisements to make your rooster a better fighter.
